May 24 / 25

Staying at the Port Clinton church shelter tonight.  It's free and right next to a river.  There's a shelter here with a barbeque pit and pavilion.  It's nice to let your body recuperate, especially your feet and knees.  Many thru hikers have dropped out due to foot issues.  I'm number 125 to pass through Harper's Ferry for 2015.  Hundreds have left the hike for any number of reasons.  Today will go into the books as a zero day.  We hitched a ride to a close by Wal Mart for food, and decided on rib eye steaks, potatoes, onions, garlic bread, and corn on the cob which we will barbecue on the grill here.

5 / 25  Left the shelter at Port Clinton and started back on the trail at 8:45.  Completed 14.8 miles and staying at Eckville Shelter.  Went by Pulpit rock and The Pinnacle before reaching the shelter and snapped some pictures.  Took in some good views of the surrounding Pennsylvania  countryside before moving on.
